Student LearningStudents are grouped into new nations and they have to create an identity for themselves through making a national song. They will consider melody, rhythm and, lyrics as they work on this project, discovering how an art form develops. Check the Grade Five class pages to hear their songs!

Summative Assessment
Students will perform their national song in front of their classmates and comment on its changes and developments. Students will research in their group another musical form that was influenced by the society it came from and do a 5 minutes presentation for their classmates.
